i like taking pictures of bands performing, but i think i like taking pictures of people when they're just hangin better? I think some of my favorite shots I've gotten on this tour were in between performing.

#salttour

I know it's been a while, I haven't really had any inclination to post until now... or much reason, I guess. But here I am in Ypsilanti, about to embark on the second round of Chris Bathgate's Salt Year release tour, with Samantha Crain and Hezekiah Jones.

We leave for Marquette tomorrow, and from this afternoon on I'll be posting exclusively to his tour blog, which can be found at http://www.chrisbathgate.org/ (which actually just went live during Hezekiah Jones' set on Thursday night at The Strutt in Kalamazoo...) SO; back to my scheduled blogging session, here's a SNEAK preview:

Follow us around Michigan. I'm so excited to go north.

because we all miss the warmth of the sunshine. today was so grey.

3rd time's a charm.

and finally; the things I've been doing lately (as in the past couple months); some images that are "just because"

mainly they're just pictures of Morgan and people's pets.

That's it for tonight, I think. More to come. Later. This week maybe.

NUMBER 2

Chris Bathgate is coming out with a new album (The Salt Year), and I offered to take some promo pictures for him, mainly because he sent me lyrics to this really old song that he wrote that I couldn't find on the internet. And because he offered to make me a pie.

And here he is making me a pie.

I also took a few rolls of film, which I picked up today, so hopefully I'll have a chance to work on those this week.

First post in a while...

I've been trying to keep busy lately, and feeling much more motivated than I have for the past few months. I'm going to rapidblog to show exactly what I've been up to lately.

HERE GOES.

I've been doing some FREElance stuff (get it?)

I did the Christmas cards for my work-

and then the INSIDE says:

"Because the goodwill of those we serve is the foundation of our success, it's a real pleasure at this holiday to say "thank you," as we wish you a full year of happiness and success."

Yeah, I know. Their colors are yellow and purple. I didn't get to choose it.

Pretty cute though, right?

and they've been having me redo a bunch of their menus and things, which is pretty cool because I don't mind doing this kind of stuff for them and they throw me extra cash and give me extra hours when I do it.
