sleepy.

Kevin went to LA for the weekend, so here I am. At home watching Weeds and applying for internships. Well I'd be doing that anyway. But it's just lonelier. Kasey is coming to NYC on Friday, his band is playing at Piano's. So I'm going to go see them. Which I am pretty excited about. Also there are fireworks in LIC on Sunday. We'll be able to see them from our roof. It's so foggy out today that I can't see midtown from the kitchen window, crazy.

This was from a setup that I made in the spare room at my parent's house.

homesick

I have to admit that I am starting to feel a little bit homesick. I mean it's not unbearable, I just miss Morgan a lot. And my dog, Sadie. And my rats, and my mom and dad. Of course.

L.I.C.N.Y.

Like I said, I've been pretty busy with the move;

Here I am, Long Island City, NY. Kevin and I got in really late Wednesday night (we drove through the Appalachians in PA right when the sun was setting, it was so pretty), and I've just been unpacking, getting acclimated, and hanging out since then. I went to SOHO with my mom on Thursday, and then went to a show with a bunch of musicians from Michigan on Saturday. We got a bookshelf and a coffee table from IKEA so we spent yesterday rearranging the apartment and putting it together, so now I've got all of my stuff unpacked and it looks awesome in here. That picture is a picture I took last time I was here with my FM. It's got a light leak. Obviously. So now it's time to get serious and start applying for internships.

summer update

So I haven't updated this in a while, I've been so busy with my review, the student show, and the move...

My review went really well, I got five things selected to be in the student show, which is a huge deal. One of the pieces I got selected was a diptych from my final series in Fine Art Concepts. Each of these was printed on 13x19 Epson Enhanced Matte paper:

In addition to these two, I got two more diptychs, smaller format (both landscapes), a handmade book, and a photo/illustration piece that I did and printed on ink-aided Rives BFK.
